A global supplier of electronic components and sub-assemblies is looking to hire a Marketing Data Analyst. The Marketing Data Analyst will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the analytics and data strategy to meet the needs of the marketing organization to support campaign development and testing, list creation, data overlays, data analysis and reporting, as well as process integrity, across all marketing mediums. This leader will help serve as a catalyst for growth of engagement, conversion, and revenue generated from our marketing ecosystem. This position will manage all marketing campaign analytics, reporting, development and maintenance of marketing databases, and introduce predictive modeling techniques to customer segments where appropriate. This leader will work closely with key functional areas within our marketing team, product management, sales, IT, operations, outside vendors and specialist, and executive leadership.


The Marketing Data Analyst will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Leading the development and execution of the analytics and data strategy to meet the needs of the marketing organization to support campaign development and testing, list creation, data overlays, data analysis and reporting, as well as processing integrity, across all marketing mediums.
  • Defining, establishing, developing and managing best in class marketing analytics practices.
  • Providing results reports, forecasts, operational and statistical tools and models, and helping direct the daily activities of campaign execution to ensure that deliverables are met.
  • Analyzing direct marketing and database initiatives and recommending strategies to improve ROI and performance of marketing initiatives at a reasonable cost.
  • Identifying new data sources and tools for analysis and list enhancements.
  • Building automated and custom reports and dashboards for the marketing and leadership team.
  • Overseeing the development of a unified, organization-wide customer database for use in marketing analytics and predictive modeling activities.
  • Ensuring the integration of the marketing database with other organizational Business Intelligence, CRM and MAS tools for integrated and comprehensive reporting.
  • Collaborating with marketing, sales, operations, and technology teams to identify gaps in the data capture strategy and implementing appropriate database enhancements to improve the performance of marketing initiatives; directing and supervising the maintenance of the marketing database, and collaborating with other departments to ensure future database enhancements meet the company’s growth requirements.
  • Staying up-to-date on the latest data mining technologies. Developing a vision and plan on how to leverage these techniques to address key marketing and business issues.
  • Developing and managing the database budget, negotiating pricing and terms with external data vendors, ensuring process integrity for key database systems.
  • Defining, designing and developing an institutional capability to do predictive modeling on customers to create an optimized promotional mix for each customer, measuring a response to the mix and refining the mix in a continual learning process.
  • Contributing to the organization’s acquisition, cross-sell, and retention of customers in the areas of data mining and predictive modeling by employing the most advanced tools and methodologies to identify marketing and business solutions related to segmentation, promotional response, customer touchpoints, campaign analysis, and promotional mix optimization.
  • Working with a wide range of statistical modeling methodologies and building statistical models for behavioral prediction.



  • 7+ years of related professional experience, developing and executing high-impact, direct-response marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Experience with conceptualizing brand and marketing campaign measurement and optimization frameworks that helped drive business impact and optimization of campaigns.
  • Experience with analysis techniques, including campaign measuring, A/B testing, and multivariate testing.
  • Demonstrated success in applying a combination of quantitative analysis and out-of-the-box creativity to meet and exceed established business goals.
  • Bridge analytics and business teams through the ability to speak the language of both.
  • Experience with quantitative tools and software analytics packages such as Google Analytics, Tableau, and related, plus data mining/management and predictive modeling and simulation such as SQL, R, Python, etc.
  • Understanding of multimedia distribution practices in all digital channels.
  • Solid project management skills that demonstrate the ability to manage priorities, set and meet deadlines, and manage budgets while maintaining accuracy and efficiency of the deliverables.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills that drive strong relationships with internal stakeholders and outside agencies and partners.
  • Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines and manage projects independently.
